The Sebby Papa Big Band was
organized in New Britain, Connecticut in
February of 1960.
It consisted of 4 trumpets, 3
trombones, 5 saxes, drums, guitar, piano,
bass.
Sebby fronted the Band &
played trumpet & flugelhorn.
Featured as vocalist was Sharon
Day.
The Band rehearsed every Wednesday
night, a luxury not too many Bands could
afford.
The Band was well known throughout
the New England area having played many
engagements including events for Rose Kennedy,
John Downey, Jr. & Governor Thomas
Meskill.
The Band was retired in
2001.
